Sethu's annual jumble sale is much awaited event. Thanks to the generous donations we receive and the ample support from our numerous volunteers, our jumble sales have become famous and we have been able to develop a kind of a cult following of ardent patrons over the years!
This year we plan to have the jumble sale during the second half of 2009. Watch this space for further details! Though the date has not yet been finalized, we have started collecting jumble stuff.
WHAT WE WANT (wish, covet, yearn and pray for)
We gladly accept donations of ANY new and used-but-almost-new stuff such as
1) Toys - all in working and good condition. Soft toys welcomed with hugs.
2) Books and magazines - children's books, novels, encyclopedias and reference
books are a sellout
3) CDs - music, DVDs - we do not want video or music cassettes as NO ONE buys them
4) Clothes and accessories - should be sellable, without holes, tears and stains
5) Household stuff - kitchenware, crockery, cutlery, linen, cushions, clocks (in
working condition), pictures and paintings, curios, gift items and everything
else
6) Stationery - art and craft material, folders, new marker pens, etc.
7) Plants - can be donated in pots or in little plastic bags filled with mud.
8) Furniture - in case this cannot be carted to the venue, we would appreciate a
photo of the item, which can be displayed together with the price
9) Electronic goods - only in working condition
10) Toiletries - soaps, shampoos, creams and other beauty products (within their
sell by date)
11) Anything unusual which will sell - we have sold coconuts, exercise machines,
prams, beanbags and literally everything from Air conditioners to Zippers
Donations of plastic or paper carry bags to give ardent shoppers on the day of
