Marriages May End but Parenting Lasts Forever

Parental separation or divorce can cause a major upheaval in the life of a child, resulting in confusion, sadness and anger. Parents who are going through a separation or getting a divorce are frequently worried about the effects on their children. They want to do a good job of parenting, but in the situation of conflict with their child’s other parent, they feel confused about how to go about this.

Children’s responses to parental separation and divorce
How to talk to your child about the separation
Ways to help children deal with their feelings and the situation

Through group discussions, role play and personal sharing, the parents' ongoing commitment to the child's well-being iwas supported and encouraged
Many parents who attended the program felt that the group process was very beneficial and helped decrease the sense of isolation, creating hope to face the future.
